Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey is an American singer who is most notable for her distinctive style. Her music is a mixture of pop, hip-hop and R&B. Lana Del Rey was born Elizabeth Woolridge Grant on June 21, 1985 in New York City. She is the daughter of a real estate agent and an art teacher. Lana Del Rey grew up in a small village in New York State.

Lana Del Rey has always had a passion for music. She learned to play piano and guitar and wrote her first songs when she was still a teenager. At the age of 18, Lana Del Rey moved to Los Angeles to pursue her music career. There she adopted the stage name Lana Del Rey, which is a combination of the name of actress Lana Turner and author Raymond Chandler.

Lana Del Rey released her debut album "Born to Die" in January 2012, and the album became a commercial success, reaching number 2 on the US Billboard 200 chart. The album was also very successful in the UK, reaching #1 on the UK album chart. With her debut album, Lana Del Rey established her distinctive musical style, often referred to as "Hollywood pop."

In May 2014, Lana Del Rey released her second studio album, "Ultraviolence." The album was just as successful as her debut album, reaching the top of the respective album charts in the U.S. and U.K. Lana Del Rey's third studio album "Honeymoon", which was released in September 2015, was also a commercial success and reached the 2nd and 3rd place of the respective album charts in the USA and Great Britain.

In addition to her music career, Lana Del Rey is also a model and actress. She has starred in several films, including the short film "The Key" (2012) and the feature film "The Great Gatsby" (2013).
